When was the last time you wrote someone a letter? I don’t mean via email or any other electronic means, either. I’m talking about putting pen to paper with your own handwriting.
I’d forgotten just how nice it is to receive a handwritten note, especially in this day and age. Got one yesterday. Excluding birthday cards and holiday greetings, I honestly can’t recall getting anything else handwritten in the last few years.
The wording of yesterday’s note is very thoughtful and kind. What really makes the message special, however, is the fact that someone took the time to write it down, seal it in an envelope and deliver it to me.
I’m as guilty as the rest of us when it comes to sending a quick email instead of picking up the phone or writing a letter. We’re all so busy rushing around. Too busy.
I, for one, would love to see a resurgence in the fine art of letter writing.
I’m guessing the employees of Canada Post would be all for this as well.
